Yep, the day has come, Diablo 3. So far there isnt a whole lot of information about it, exept that it is a long time after the death of baal, and the worldstone has let demons into the world.

The rlease date of Diablo 3 is not yet released, but there is a new class, the witch doctor, which looks pretty cool. For more info check out blizzards site, www.blizzard.com

WOW arena season 5 gear

Okay First off, for season 5 their are 3 different sets of gear. Blue set, epic set, and then better epic set, blue set does not require an arena rating, the next set is about 1650-1800 and then 3rd set is 1800-2100ish. I would post all the pictures but there are to many to get, so here is the direct link to mmochampion and you can see it all. Enjoy.

World of Warcraft Movie Info

The movie will be big, huge and even epic, budget is $100mil with a + prolly because Blizzard is known to do their projects perfect. The story will happen about a year before World of Warcraft story (game time ofc) and it will focused on what the whole Warcraft is all about - conflict between Orcs and Humans. There will be new hero introduced, a badass hero they said with a theme of conflict and culture. The movie will be more of War movie then a quest one from the Alliance perspective, so we can expect a badass battle too. We will see races and characters already known through the game story.

Here are few quotes from the talk:

“It’s actually not like the great adventure. It’s not so much a quest movie. It’s more of a war movie. Well, okay, it’s absolutely a war movie. Cultures grinding up to a horrible moment where it just all spills over and gets out of control. Less of an adventure party quest-type situation. More of an armies building to an inevitable conclusion type situation.”

“While my heart lies with the Horde and Thrall’s an interesting character, from a movie making standpoint, a blockbuster movie its a little rough to try and tell it from the perspective of this green looking dude.”

Still no cast and PG-13 content comments:

“We are starting those conversations. We’re going to be looking for someone of Zak Snyder (300) or Chris Nolan (The Dark Knight, Batman Beings) calibre”

“I can tell you that this is the one thing about running a studio and making these things that’s hard. You want to not compromise and have the right level of intensity. The story and the director’s vision is what’s ultimately going to dictate that. Personally one of my favorite movies of all time is Lord of the Rings, which has a PG-13 rating.”

Questions from audience and answers:

Classes will be in the movie, but can’t give details since still in scripting process, not exactly clear and we don’t know yet, but we want many familiar elements in the movie as possible

What races will be represented?
Not very easy to answer considering the timeline we’re talking about, so they are not sure about if the Forsaken have yet joined the Horde But not everyone can be in the spotlight in the first movie anyway

Warcraft has a lot of strong characters, would you consider going back to do another movie on Arthas?
I would consider that, sure, but we haven’t talked about what other films might deal with. We have to get the first movie right first before you deal with franchises.

This is based on two or three major moments in the games, so it isn’t radically apart from the continuity, so it really holds together. We want it to taste like the World of Warcraft world. but it’s also really fresh. I understand the fear that you don’t want us to screw up the story, but we will be respectful of the continuity but will hold up as a killer 2 hour movie. It is a little modified. There’s so much in this world to deal with, so you use that as a jumping off point to tell a kick ass story. They want the players to enjoy the movie experience, if they are too much a slave to the story that won’t be the case. They want to respect the world, but to translate it to the screeen and is great on film.

WOW Midsummer Fire Festival Coming Soon

Each summer, the arrival of the Midsummer Fire Festival signals a time of merriment and a chance to revel in the hottest season of the year by lighting celebratory bonfires across the land and sharing in what the elemental spirits have to offer. This year (beginning tomorrow and continuing until July 5), the festival features some brand-new events, quests, and prizes, including a special summoned boss for groups of high-level players.

Type: Holiday Event
Date: June 21 - July 4
Location: Azeroth and Outland

Tending the Flames
Across Azeroth, brilliant bonfires have been lit to signify the hottest months of the year. The chosen Flamekeepers are eager to ensure they continue burning long into the days and nights of the celebration - and they seek the aid of able explorers in doing so. Traverse the land and delve into dangerous dungeons at their behest. You may return hot, sweaty, and a little sooty...but these spiritual guides understand well the need to reward adventurers beyond the promise of "enlightenment."

Ahune, the Frost Lord
One of the main additions to the Fire Festival this year is a new summonable boss. Level 70 players can undertake this questline that takes you to the Slave Pens to seek and defeat Ahune, the Frost Lord. Ahune is a special summonable boss, similar to the Headless Horseman, that is only available during the Fire Festival. Luma Cloudsister, located just inside the Slave Pens, directs your party to where you can find and defeat Ahune - and loot his special rewards. The loot in Heroic mode is more powerful than on normal mode and includes epic items.

Lord Ahune is a new Headless-horseman-like boss, you will be able to fight him during the Midsummer Festival (June 21 - July 4) and after a small fight he might reward you with a few epics. This is a daily quest and you'll be able to summon him once a day just like the Headless Horseman.

Phase 1 - The boss spawns two types of adds and you can't really damage him, just take care of the adds and after a minute, Ahune will go into phase 2.
Phase 2 - Ahune submerges (ragnaros-style) and its Frozen Core will spawn, that's when you attack him ! After some time Ahune will emerge and you'll have to fight adds for one more minute, etc ...

Loot table
Frostscythe of Lord Ahune (WH)
The Frost Lord's War Cloak
Icebound Cloak (WH)
Shroud of Winter's Chill (WH)
Scorched Stone (Pet) (WH)

Easy WoW Gold Making Method

So you have a lot extra badges and are wondering why even get gear/or have all the gear you need. Me personally said forget the PVE gear and I have been spending all my extra badges on Epic Gems. They are 15 Badges each, but sell for 200-400 gold on most servers. Pretty easy money if you like to raid or do heroics. I figure, by the time WOTLK rolls around, I will be banking and ready to get into the raid scene again.

WOTLK The Nexus Dungeon

The Nexus - WOTLK

Location : Borean Tundra
Players:
5 (The Nexus) (Level 71-73)
5 (Oculus) (Level 80)
10/25 (Raid)

Enemies: Blue Dragonkins, Mage Hunters.

Theme: Home of the Blue Dragonflight Malygos.

Netherwing Rep Guide

To start out, you MUST have 300 riding skill and a riding mount, as of right now flight form doesn't work from what I'm told (since you aren't mounted), you must also have done the quest to get your Netherwing rep to neutral.

First, you need to talk to Mordenai in Netherwing fields, he will send you to talk to the general of the Dragonmaw orcs at the Netherwing encampment. This encampment is located right on the first E of Netherwing Ledge. There you will get several quests 2-4 daily quests based on how many gathering professions you have, and 1 repeatable quest. Daily quests are a new type of quest implemented with this patch, you can do each one once daily, but you can only do a max of 10 a day. This won't prevent you from doing the max possible quests for this chain each day, I'm guessing it's there to prevent you from grinding up for 2 mounts at once. The quests you get are :

A Slow Death (Daily) 250 rep Get 12 Fel Glands from the nether rays on netherwing ledge, use these along with the quest item you received to poison the orcs working all around the ledge.

Netherdust Pollen (Daily) 250 rep This is the quest for herbalist, simple enough gather 40 pollens from the netherdust bushes found around the ledge. I don't know the names, but there is a similar quest for miners and skinners.

Netherwing crystal (Daily) 250 rep Collect 40 Netherwing crystals, these drop off of the flayers on the ledge and any mobs in the mines south of the encampment. I personally had the best drop rates off of the fallen in the back of the mine, but different people reported better drop rates for different things.

Not so friendly skies (Daily) Get 10 Netherwing relics from the Dragonmaw transporters flying between Netherwing ledge and the Dragonmaw Fortress. Land on one of the floating islands between the island and the mainland and use ranged attacks to pull the transporters to you. Pretty easy quest, though their aimed shot hits for a lot so if you see the bow come out for a long time try to stun them.

Great Netherwing egg hunt (daily) 350 rep first turn in, 250 subsequent turn ins
This is the only completely repeatable quest there is, and it's to turn in a netherwing egg. These eggs can come from anywhere herbs, mining, mob drops, there are even eggs that spawn along the ridge that you can click on to loot. Sadly though, the drop rate on these is incredibly low, I probably only got 15 or so during the entire rep grind. I'm not sure how common the lootable ones will be once the servers are live, I think they take a while to spawn and the server wasn't usually up long enough for them to show up.Repeat these quests until you get to friendly which opens up :

Overseeing and you: making the right choices 350 rep Bring 10 knothide leather and 1 tyrannitor hide to the npc to have your weapon crafted. Tryanitor is the level 71 Trex in the far north dome in Netherstorm. Note: the hide is a drop, it is not skinnedThis leads to :

The Booterang (not the right name) (Daily) 350 rep You are given a booterang and have to discipline 20 dragonmaw peons with it. Pretty easy, just fly around and look for the peons that are either sleeping or are read and angry, the booterang is usable from your mount.

Picking up the pieces (Daily) 350 rep Collect 15 Nethermine cargo from the mine. Easy enough, just run around looking for lootable mine carts.

Dragons are the least of our problems (Daily) 350 rep Kill 15 Nethermine Flayers are 5 Nethermine Ravagers these aren't hard to find, second path from the left at the second split in the tracks at the mine (first split doesn't matter, both take you to the same place)

Crazed & confused 350 repI was kind of surprised that this wasn't daily, but anyway to get to the npc stay left while going through the mines, eventually you'll see a netherdrake, drop down and you'll see the quest npc as you exit that area. The quest is to kill 5 Miners and 1 Foreman, to get to them go to the place with the flayers mentioned in the quest above and head to the right when given the choice.Do these until you get honored

Building a Soul Cannon 500 rep Bring the guy at camp 2 felsteel bars, 1 adamantite frame, 1 khorium power core, and one quest item. You get the quest item in terrokar forest in the area above the horde base that you can only get to with a flying mount. There's a guy there who will summon 5 elementals of each element one at a time, after you kill each of them you get the item, all easily soloable. This leads to :

Subduing the Subduer 500 rep Ok this quest can be difficult if you don't know what to do. Basically you have to channel a spell from your gryphon onto xxx the subduer a 73 elite in twilight ridge in nagrand. What you have to do is keep far enough back from him, and dodge his bolts to eventually drain his life down, I found it easier to train him around the center of the camp keeping across the center from him at all times (note: height has nothing to do with melee range so don't try to just fly high enough that he won't melee you). The biggest problem with this quest is that if you die while you're on your gryphon your corpse stil floats in the air, and if it's too high up you have to gy rez. However, the graveyrard you are sent to when you die in this area does not have a spirit healer. -_- if your faction controls halaa you can rez there...we didn't so I had to run all the way back to terrokar since I couldn't remember where any nagrand gys were to save my life. Once you win you get to choose between 4 green quest rewards, none of which are very overwhelming.

Disrupting the Twiligth Generator (Daily) 500 rep Kill any 20 of the mobs at the same place as the above quest.Race quests 500 each for first 5, 1000 for 6thAt this level you also unlock the Race quests. Basically this is a series of 6 quests where you try to fly behind each of the riders and not get knocked off by the bombs/magic/meteors they throw at you. The first 5 aren't too bad once you learn how to avoid their attacks. The final race is either really rough or bugged at the moment, because if you aren't right on top of the guy he'll despawn. The others you could get a little range to dodge at least. Also a riding crop/pally aura makes this a lot easier since he's faster than you, reward is a +10% mount speed trinket.

Revered

The greatest trap ever (Daily) (3 man group)- 500 rep You are told that you need to lead a group of dragonmaw to attack the aldor(scryer) base, once there you talk to a few npc's then start an attack. You will have 8 non elite npc's assisting you and 1 elite npc, your goal is to keep the elite npc alive while fending off all the dragonmaw. There are several waves of these guys so just try to dps them down as best you can. Right now the quest is bugged due to the fact that all the mobs are mounted so melee dps is kind of worthless against them. The battle takes place literally 3 steps from the graveyard so it isn't hard to just walk over and rez if you die.Repeat these till exalted and enjoy your mount

Nihilum Sends Team to 3v3 MLG Tournament

Nihilum pvp team consists of
  • David "Beasteh" Mountford - Resto Druid (13/11/37)
  • Jonny "Cherez" Martin - Marksman Hunter (9/41/11)
  • Ryan "Hydra" Van Buiten - Disipline Priest (43/18/0)

How does it feel to play under the shadow of such a famous PVE guild as Nihilum?

It's a lot of extra pressure. People expect great things from us, being under the name Nihilum, we're just hoping we can meet those expectations. Or as Ryan “Hydra” would put it, “PVE IS HARD”. In all seriousness though, we have met some awesome guys since being picked up by Nihilum.

Who do you see as the top teams in America that you’ll be looking at heading into the tournament?

Pandemic, fnatic, SK etc. We're looking forward to the chance to compete against all the big names that have been to previous live events. With Pandemic topping a lot of previous competitions it will be fun to see if they play at the level we are expecting them to.

Arena Season 4 Start Date

We’re currently planning to end the third Arena season and begin Arena Season 4 on June 24, 2008. This exciting Arena season will introduce the Brutal Gladiator set, and will also allow players to purchase Arena Season 2 items using the honor system. Please note that we will be resetting all Arena team and personal ratings. Players will still retain their Arena points and teams with this reset. The team and personal rating will simply be reset to the default 1500, allowing all teams to once again compete for top honors with a fresh start. Also, with the end of the third season, players on the top teams from each battlegroup will receive their end-of-season rewards. These include Arena-specific titles that they can display proudly until the end of the new season, and, for the best of the best, an Armored Nether Drake. Please also be aware that with the end of the current season, all previous end-of-season titles will be removed.

While Season 3 is still going strong, we wanted to announce ahead of time the rating requirements that will be present for arena items once Season 4 begins. We also wanted to give everyone a heads up to some changes that will be in an upcoming patch, altering how points are gained and players are matched in the arena system. The patch with these changes is scheduled to release before the start of Season 4.First though, the rating requirement changes:When Season 4 begins, Season 3 items will be reduced in personal and team arena rating requirement to:Shoulders: 1950Weapon: 1800The new Season 4 items will have the below personal and team arena rating requirements:Shoulders: 2200Weapon: 2050Head: 1700Chest: 1600Legs: 1550Gloves: noneOff-hand: noneIn addition, some of the Season 4 quality items that will be purchasable with honor will also carry a personal and team arena rating requirement:Boots: 1700Ring: 1650Bracers: 1575Belt: noneNecklace: noneTrinket: noneThe Season 2 items, which will move to the honor system when Season 4 begins, will continue to have no rating requirement. The changes to the rating requirements for these items reflect the nature of the items, their power, and the relative difficulty that should be had when attempting to obtain them. These items are comparable to those found in the newest 25 person raid zone, Sunwell Plateau, and should therefore also feel very challenging to obtain. To help ensure that the challenge in obtaining these items stays true to those achieving these ratings, we'll also be implementing new rules with an upcoming patch to curb practices that undermine the core concepts of the arena system. These rules are as follows:
If a character’s personal rating is more than 150 points below the team rating, they will earn points based on their personal rating instead of the team rating. This means that a player cannot join a highly rated team and begin earning points based purely on the pre-established rating of the team before they joined it. They'll need to compete, improve, and gain a personal rating worthy of the points they would receive.
If the average personal rating of the players queuing for a game is more than 150 points below the team’s rating, the team will be queued against an opponent matching or similar to the average personal rating. This means that players cannot join a highly rated team and immediately face highly rated opponents, easily and quickly bringing their personal rating up. Instead they'll need to again compete, improve, and earn their rating. We're excited to see these changes implemented, which will continue to emphasize the strong competitive nature of the arenas, and the challenge in obtaining the highest end rewards available for PvP.

Arena Season 4 Delay

Season 4 Delays (Starts on June 24)

It's a design decision based on when we feel there's an appropriate amount of people snagging items from the highest end PvE encounters. How was it a lie? Eh, I should state there's probably other factors involved too, but PvE progression is really the main point.

Yeah there’s a direct link between PvE and PvP progression; we want players gearing up on the highest raid instance before we open new seasons. (Source)

What's the point of the resurrection timer ?
To control the respawn of players that are fighting near a graveyard. It helps to put some importance on your life instead of just insta-rezzing every time and running in to battle to die again with little consequence or thought. Also, now with diminishing returns no longer affecting honor gains it helps reduce farmability.

Gnome Racial Ability: Escape Artist
Escape artist works against movement impairing effects such as snares or roots, not stuns/fears/incapacitates or other forms of CC. This includes, but is not limited to, abilities such as hamstring, entangling roots, frost nova, crippling poison, etc.

It should be noted that escape artist is subject to talented dispel resistant abilities such as entangling roots. If, for example, the druid in question who rooted you has those talents, it is possible that the use of escape artist will not remove the desired debuff

Easy Weapon Leveling

In SMV at 70, 50, there is a ethereal demon who is surrounded by about 5 warlock. After you kill the warlocks you have a few minutes to hack away at the demon until the warlocks spawn back. You can get your weapon skill way up without taking any damage. The warlocks guarding him die very easily.

Warrior Macros

Contents this is a general classification – you may find what you're after, or the basic commands in different areas...

    Weapon swaps
    Stance dances
    Charge/Intercept/Intervene
    PvP / DPS / Leveling
    Tanking
    Multi Tanking
    Miscellaneous
    Common macro commands

Note you can shift-click the name of your spell, ability, trinket, weapon, shield etc. into your macro. You do not need the “(Rank X)” when you do so, as it will always use the highest rank.

Weapon Swaps equipslot '16' is main hand, '17' is off hand...

Dual wielding to 2h and back to DW :
/equipslot 16 Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight
    /equipslot 17 Qiraji Sacrificial Dagger
    /equip The Untamed Blade

Shield (first line puts you into def stance)
    /cast [stance:1/3]Defensive Stance
/equipslot 16 Maladath, Runed Blade of the Black Flight
    /equipslot 17 Drillborer Disk

A one button version of the quick equip macro. Normal is tank, ctrl is DW, alt is resist shield. You can modify this any number of ways for 2H wep and different button combos.
/equipslot 16 Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker
    /equipslot 17 Elementium Reinforced Bulwark
    /equipslot [modifier:ctrl] 17 Sickle of Unyielding Strength
    /equipslot [modifier:alt] 17 Draconian Deflector

    /script PickupInventoryItem(17); if CursorHasItem()then PickupContainerItem(4,4);EquipItemByName("The Unstoppable Force");else EquipItemByName("Stormstrike Hammer"); EquipItemByName("The Immovable Object");end;

Stance Dances

Simple 1 ability dances, will put you in correct stance and cast ability as well as show cooldowns.

[stance:1]i s a 'condition' and refers to battle stance (2 is defensive and 3 is zerker stance), so in the overpower macro below, if in stance 1 (battle) if will overpower, if not it will switch to battle - use again then to overpower..
    #showtooltip Overpower
    /cast [stance:1] Overpower; Battle Stance

    #show Mocking Blow
/cast [stance:1] Mocking Blow; Battle Stance

    #show Taunt
    /cast [stance:2] Taunt; Defensive Stance

    #show Whirlwind
    /cast [stance:3] Whirlwind; Berserker Stance

Stance change "loop" macro. Access all stances from any stance with just 2 keybinds.
    /cast [stance:1]Berserker Stance;[stance:3]Defensive Stance;[stance:2]Battle Stance

This one goes in the opposite direction:
    /cast [stance:1]Defensive Stance;[stance:2]Berserker Stance;[Stance:3]Battle Stance

Toggles stances between def and battle stance and if control clicked, it will go to zerker stance.
/cast [modifier:ctrl,nostance:3] Berserker Stance; [stance:1] Defensive Stance; Battle Stance

Generic Stance Macro: Replace <* Stance Ability> with whatever you want.
    /cast [stance:1] ; [stance:2] ; [stance:3]

Example: Will cast Overpower in Battle stance, Sunder Armor in Defensive, and Whirlwind in Berserker stance
    /cast [stance:1] Overpower; [stance:2] Sunder Armor; [stance:3] Whirlwind

stance dance with wep swaps - changes to battle stance & equips 2h, then def stance with 1h and shield, then zerk stance & re-equips 2h...
    /cast [stance:1]Berserker Stance;[stance:3]Defensive Stance;[stance:2]Battle Stance
    /equip Gorehowl
    /stopmacro [stance:1]
    /equipslot 16 King's Defender
/equipslot 17 Aegis of the Sunbird

Fear Dance - think Nightbane, Onyxia... will put you into zerker stance, pop zerker rage and then (back) to def stance if you have a shield on or to battle if not
    #showtooltip Berserker Rage
/cast [stance:3] Berserker Rage; Berserker Stance
/cast [noequipped:shields] Battle Stance; Defensive Stance

Charge / intercept / intervene

Charge & intercept
- puts you into the correct stance, another use and you charge/intercept. It will also leave you in zerker while in combat...
    /cast [nocombat,stance:1] Charge; [combat,nostance:3] Berserker Stance; [nocombat,nostance:1] Battle Stance; [combat,stance:3] Intercept

Intervene
/cast [nostance:2] Defensive Stance; [help] Intervene; [target=targettarget, help] Intervene

or this will mouseover:
    /cast [target=mouseover,help,nodead,stance:2] [] Intervene; Defensive Stance

Focus intervene - useful for any situation where you need to get away quickly. Ctrl-click on your healer (or someone else in a safe location) before combat (use “/clearfocus” to clear your current focus). Use in combat to intervene on that person. <3>#show Intervene
/focus [modifier:ctrl]
/stopmacro [modifier:ctrl]
/cast [nostance:2] Defensive Stance
/cast [target=focus] Intervene
A seperate charge/intercept macro for each of the stance bars. Put them in the same slot on their respective bar and then just spam that button/key and it will perform the appropriate logic as it switches around from bar to bar.

Charge/Intercept - (Battle Stance Bar)
/cast [stance:1, combat] Berserker Stance; [stance:1, nocombat] Charge

Charge/Intercept - (Berserker Stance Bar)
/cast [stance:3, combat] Intercept; [stance:3, nocombat] Battle Stance

Charge/Intercept - (Defensive Stance Bar)
/cast [stance:2, combat] Berserker Stance [stance:2, nocombat] Battle Stance

all in 1: out of combat it will charge, in combat change to zerk & intercept or if targeting friendly, change to def stance & intervene

    /cast [help,stance:2]Intervene;[help,nostance:2]Defensive Stance;[combat,harm,nostance:3]Berserker Stance;[nocombat,nostance:1]Battle Stance;[combat,harm,stance:3]Intercept;[nocombat,stance:1]Charge

PvP / DPS / Lvling

Mortal & Heroic Strike - if you have the rage..
    #show Mortal Strike
    /cast Mortal Strike
    /cast Heroic Strike

Mortal Strike & Slam - get Quartz swing timer mod – Slam immediately after a white swing, then Mortal Strike with the next white swing then immediately Slam again = pwnage. Best with imp slam. As with all castsequence macros make it with the “?” macro icon to see what is next
/castsequence reset=combat/5 Slam, Mortal Strike, Slam

Sweeping Strike, Mortal Strike & Cleave
    #showtooltip Sweeping Strikes
/cast [stance:2/3] Battle Stance; Sweeping Strikes
    /cast Mortal Strike
    /cast Cleave
    /startattack

Sweeping Strikes, Cleave & Whirlwind - use 'ctrl' to change to battle, use again after 30 rage for SS then spam...
    #showtooltip Sweeping Strikes
/cast [modifier:ctrl] Battle Stance; Sweeping Strikes
    /cast [stance:1] Berserker Stance;Whirlwind
    /cast Cleave
    /startattack

equip 2hander & Overpower
    /cast [stance:1] Overpower; Battle Stance
    /stopmacro [equipped:Two-Handed Swords]
/equip "2 hand sword of pwnage"

Execute: in def stance will switch to battle; in battle or zerker will execute
    /cast [stance:1/3] Execute; [stance:2] Battle Stance

I have this immediately following it as I'm 2h MS blood frenzy spec atm & DW feeds rage for improved rexecutes... ;)
    /stopmacro [equipped:One-Handed Axes]
    /equipslot 16 The Decapitator
    /equipslot 17 Vindicator's Brand

Always attempts to use Execute, but will use Heroic Strike if not available. Ctrl uses Cleave instead of Heroic Strike.
    /cast Execute
    /cast [modifier:ctrl] Cleave; Heroic Strike

Intercept & Hamstring
    /cast [stance:3] Intercept; Berserker Stance
    /cast Hamstring

This is a great farming (lazy warrior :p) macro – it will dismount you , charge, bloodthirst (or change it to MS), queue HS and WW – anytime the target flees or otherwise gets out of range you will intercept – just watch your rage ;). Rinse repeat..
    /dismount
    /cast [nocombat,stance:1] Charge; [combat,nostance:3] Berserker Stance; [nocombat,nostance:1] Battle Stance; [combat,stance:3] Intercept
    /stopcasting
/castsequence reset=5 Bloodthirst, Heroic Strike, Whirlwind

for PvP, I use the same macro above and replace the last line (i.e. beginning with /castsequence..) with
/cast Hamstring

or replace last line with /cast Victory Rush as charge/intercept will often be used to get to new target..

Disarm
    #show Disarm
    /cast [nostance:2] Defensive Stance; Disarm

Interrupt - Shield bash or Pummel macro depending on whether or not a shield is equipped
    #showtooltip [equipped:Shields] Shield Bash; Pummel
    /cast [stance:1/2,noequipped:Shields] Berserker Stance; [stance:1/2,equipped:Shields] Shield Bash; [stance:3] Pummel

Overpower/Execute
    #show Execute
/castrandom [nostance:1] Battle Stance; Overpower, Execute

Spell reflect - If you do not have a shield equipped, it will equip the one you designate. If you have a shield equipped and are in Battle or Defensive Stance, use Spell Reflect. If you are in Berserker Stance, it will change to Defensive Stance so that Spell Reflect can be cast. use with 'ctrl' to re-quip 2h
    #showtooltip Spell Reflection
    /cast [stance:1/2,equipped:shields] Spell Reflection; [stance:3] Defensive Stance
    /equip [modifier:ctrl] Gorehowl
    /stopmacro [equipped: shields]
    /equip Aegis of the Sunbird
    /equipslot 16 The Decapitator

Universal range macro
    #showtooltip [equipped:fishing pole] Fishing; Thrown
    /cast [equipped:thrown] Throw; Shoot
    /use [equipped:fishing Pole] Fishing

Tanking

Taunt with equip sword and board
    #show Taunt
    /cast [stance:2] Taunt; [stance:1/3] Defensive Stance
    /stopmacro [equipped:Shields]
    /equipslot 16 King's Defender
    /equip Aegis of the Sunbird

Mocking Blow swaps you to Battle stance and then casts Mocking Blow, then switches you back to Defensive Stance.
    #show Mocking Blow
/cast [nostance:1] Battle Stance; Mocking Blow
    /cast [nostance:2]Defensive Stance

I use a combination of two macros for your basic tank & spank encounters:
/cast [stance:2] Sunder Armor; Defensive Stance
    /cast Heroic Strike
    /startattack

with
    /cast [stance:2] Revenge; Defensive Stance
    /cast Shield Block

I use the HS/SA one first to get excellent threat (make sure you've got the rage, otherwise simply sunder), then the revenge/SB to give mitigation and threat, adding in the other now and then... ;)

Devastate & Sunder
– use with 'ctrl' until 5 sunders then devastates
    /cast [modifier:ctrl] Sunder Armor; Devastate

Devastate, Shield Slam, and Heroic Strike. Keeps HS queued and uses Devastate and Shield Slam for your supplemental aggro. Ctrl uses Cleave instead of Heroic Strike – assumes you have plenty of rage.
    /castrandom Devastate, Shield Slam
    /cast [modifier:ctrl] Cleave; Heroic Strike

fit in 2 devastates b/w SS cooldown
/castsequence reset=6 Shield Slam, Devastate, Devastate

Taunt-MB-CS: Taunt/Def Stance switch. Ctrl is Mocking Blow/Battle Stance switch. Alt is Challenging Shout.
    #showtooltip Taunt
    /cast [modifier:alt] Challenging Shout;[modifier:ctrl,nostance:1] Battle Stance; [modifier:ctrl,stance:1] Mocking Blow; [stance:2] Taunt; [nostance:2] Defensive Stance

a 'castsequence' tanking macro
/castsequence reset=5 Shield Block, Revenge, Sunder Armor

Shield Slam with Gnomeregan Auto-Blocker 600
    #show Gnomeregan Auto-Blocker 600
    /use [harm,nodead,equipped:Shields] 13
    /stopcasting
    /cast [equipped:Shields] Shield Slam
    /equip [noequipped:Shields] Azure-Shield of Coldarra

This allows you to Shield Slam at the exact same time as trinket activation. It checks to make sure your target is alive and hostile, and will also not activate the trinkets if you do not have a Shield already equipped. If you do not, it will equip the Shield, so you can simply double-click it. This is important because it allows 4 Shield Slams reliably off one trinket use.

Multi tanking

Tab sunder - seamlessly tab to the nearest target, sunder them and switch back to your current target – you won't even see the switch but they'll be sundered... ;)
    /targetenemy
    /cast Sunder Armor
    /targetlasttarget

Mouseover sunder cc breaking early? - this macro will sunder the mob your mouse pointer is over without losing your current target (the mob must still be in melee range, of course). It also checks if the target is actually hostile and alive before doing this.
    #show Sunder Armor
    /cast [target=mouseover, harm, nodead] [] Sunder Armor

Thunder Clap
    #showtooltip Thunder Clap
/cast [stance:1/2] Thunder Clap; Defensive Stance

To overcome the 'tab' key's propensity to target anything, this macro first reduces the distance at which tab works to 10 units, performs the equivalent of a Tab (/targetenemy), then restores the default value.
    /script SetCVar("targetNearestDistance", 10)
    /targetenemy
    /script SetCVar("targetNearestDistance", 41)

multi tanking masher - use every GCD (note without the reset to 41 it will leave your tab at 5 or whatever value you give it) watch debuff slots & then revenge, shield slam etc. on those with low sunders:
    /script SetCVar("targetNearestDistance", 5)
    /targetenemy
    /startattack
    /cast [nostance:2] Defensive Stance
/castsequence reset=6 Sunder Armor, Thunder Clap, Cleave, Sunder Armor

It changes target every use - I have held multiple Shattered Halls' mobs with this & didn't have a single point in prot at the time (ok you do need some time with them to get properly acquainted :p ) - the key is revenging &/or shield slamming those with low sunders or even taunting them, to give you extra time to build threat on the others. Use the target icon macro (below) to mark one as the focus fire target - it will need extra attention...

Miscellaneous

activating a trinket into a macro?
    /use 13
    /use 14

(13 = top trinket, 14 = bottom)

sharpen - left click to do MH, right click for off hand or will add lures if fishing ;)
#show [equipped:Fishing Pole] Aquadynamic Fish Attractor; Dense Sharpening Stone
/use [equipped:Fishing Pole, modifier:alt] Bright Baubles ; [equipped:Fishing Pole] Aquadynamic Fish Attractor ; Dense Sharpening Stone
    /use [button:1] 16; [button:2] 1

Universal mount macro
    /cast [noflying] Ebon Gryphon
    /cast [nomounted] Stormpike Battle Charger
    /dismount [noflying]

self bandage (1st macro is bandages in bag 1 position 1, 2nd macro position does not matter)
    /use [target=player] 1 1

    /use [target=player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage

intim shout & bandage and then re-target - 3 clicks, pause for bandage after second...
    /cast Intimidating Shout
    /use [target=player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage
    /targetlasttarget
    /startattack

oh crap!
/castsequence Last Stand, Super Healing Potion, Fel Blossom, Nightmare Seed

I manage shouts, AP and rage boosts thru a single macro - its not for everyone & nor is it suitable for every encounter... it will reset manually with 'ctrl' or after 120 secs after last use (the cooldown of battle shout & BB).. one use for each - it assumes you have imp zerker rage for the rage boost tho zerker rage also generates extra rage when taking damage so its great to keep it up if not needed for fears...
/castsequence reset=ctrl/120 Battle Shout, Berserker Rage, Bladefist's Breadth, Rampage, Berserker Rage, Uniting Charm, Rampage, Berserker Rage, Rampage

Some common macro commands...

Targeting:

    /targetenemy
    /targetfriend
    /targetparty
    /targetraid
    /targetlasttarget
    /targetlastenemy
/assist [name] - Assist your target or the named unit if specified

Using Items:
    /use
    /equip
    /equipslot
    /userandom , , item3, …

Examples of /equip and /use:
    /equip
    /equip
    /equipslot
    /use
    /use
    /use
/userandom , , will attempt to use a randomly selected one of the specified items

Casting:
    /stopcasting
    /cast [option]
    /stopmacro [option]
    /castrandom , , …
    /castsequence [reset=N/target/combat/shift/alt/ctrl] , , …

Sequenced Casting

* A new command /castsequence reset=N/target/combat/shift/alt/ctrl spell1, spell2, spell3
* The reset line can specify a number of seconds after which a sequence resets, or if it should reset on target change or leaving combat.
* The sequence tracks the 'next' spell in the sequence until it resets, the next spell only advances on a successful cast.
* You can specify a conditional at the start of the command before the reset to filter whether the sequence is used (You cannot use per-spell conditionals)
* You can specify items and stances as well as spells

Action Bars:
    /changeactionbar
    /swapactionbar

Attacking:
    /startattack [unit]
    /stopattack

Buffs/Auras:
    /cancelaura [Stormpike Battle Charger]

OPTIONS

If multiple options are provided for an action, they must all be met before the action will happen. The options supported are as follows:
    * target=unit - Run the command and perform tests on the specified unit (only applicable to spell casting or item use). You can specify 'none' as a target unit to act as if you have no target.
    * help/harm - Choose depending on whether target is assistable or attackable
    * combat - Choose depending on whether you're in combat or not
    * stance or stance:# - Choose depending on your stance/shapeshift ("stance" alone matches any stance)
    * stealth - Choose depending on whether you are stealthed
    * mounted - Choose depending on whether you are mounted
    * swimming - Choose depending on whether you are swimming
    * flying - Choose depending on whether you are flying
    * indoors - Choose depending on whether you are indoors
    * outdoors - Choose depending on whether you are outdoors
    * modifier or modifier:shiftctrlalt - Choose depending on any modifier keys you're holding at the time the macro runs
    * equipped: - Choose if you have the specific item type equipped
    * actionbar: - Choose if a specific actionbar is shown
    * button:Z - Choose if the specified button is held down
    * pet: - Choose if your current active pet has the specified name or family (e.g. pet:bear/wolf)
    * channeling or channeling:spell - Choose if you are channeling (possibly a specific spell)
    * exists - Choose if the target exists
    * dead - Choose if the target is dead

Blizzcast 3 Summary

Quote from Blizzard staff

General
-PvP armor will be different from the PvE armor entirely in looks and colors this time.
-Daily quests will be more widely used in Wrath of the Lich King and should be in place as soon as the expansion ships. More quests will be available with more randomization to make them less repetitive.

Dungeons
-Wrath of the Lich King should have about a dozen of 5-man dungeons available.
-The loot will be better in Heroic instances.
-The attunement process for both Heroic and raid instances will be improved.
-More timed events will be added in WotLK and they will be tuned to let skilled players really show off that little extra emphasis that they put on raiding.
-Timed runs won't really feel like a necessity anymore, the plan is to make them more like an additional challenge to the dungeon.
-Heroic Badges will be back in WotLK, and the concept will be applied to both Heroic and Raid dungeons. The current plan is to create different Badges for different tiers of gear and just not let players buy all the gear with the same currency.
-Some of the Badge rewards might be spread to reputation vendors as well
-In Utgarde Keep, the first dungeon players will explore, developpers try to vary up the architecture from room to room so it feels and look a little bit different, different creatures are used in the different rooms. Various crowd control types can be used throughout the instances, so the dragons can be hibernated, there is humanoids, undead for the different crowd control types all have options in the dungeon. There are also some really cool scripted boss fights too.

Raids
-25-man gear quality will be 1 tier higher than the one you can find in the 10-man version of the same dungeon.
-10-man and 25-man versions of Armor Sets will use the same models but with different colors or more particle effects for the 25-man version.
-The goal is to keep as many raid timers as possible on a 7 day reset. These timers will always match between 10 and 25-man versions.
-First raids in WotLK will be a little bit more accessible to people in general.
-10/25 man versions of the same instance will have totally separate progression and will be equally hard. The 10-man version isn't supposed to be easier or anything like that.
-With CoT: Culling of Stratholme, the developpers are trying to stay as close as possible from the Warcraft 3 storyline without just recreating the mission in the original game. The whole gameplay have to be changed to make it exciting in a MMO. The Infinite Dragonflight storyline will also be continued here.

Naxxramas / Ashbringer
-Naxxramas is supposed to be an accessible early tier raid which will actually be pretty easy for both 10 and 25 person groups
-The story of Ashbringer will be continued in Wrath of the Lich King
-Whether or not Atiesh exists in its current form or a new form is still undecided.
-Some encounters like the 4 Horsemen, Gothik, Kel'thuzad, and Gluth will definitely have to be changed slightly to fit the new raid sizes.
-The new version will also let developers work again on "flawed" encounters and improves them, -The 4 Horsemen is probably the most important one but developpers think they can also do a better job on Loatheb or Grobbulus
.

Best WOW Class?

A lot of people, mostly beginners, ask, what's the best class? Which one should i choose?. Well, I'm going to explain.

First things first, THERE IS NO BEST CLASS!. Every class in World of Warcraft is needed to make the game what it is.

Now, there are somewhat better classes for different situtations and roles.

DPS Classes - Hunter, Rogue, Warrior, RET Paladin, Mage, Moonkin, Feral druid, Warlock, Shaman.

Okay all these DPS classes are capable of surpassing the one before it, but a lot of it depends on the gear of the other players you play with. Usually in raids the top DPS'ers will be Warlock, Rogue, Hunter, Mage, and a good Shock Shaman if there is one. Moonkin, Ret pallys, and feral druids don't always do as much damage because they are hybrid characters. They can do as much dmg with the right set of gear, but are harder to get up than pure DPS classes.

Now for healing classes, Resto Druid, Resto Shaman, Holy pally, and Holy Priest. The original healing class was the Priest PRE-BC, but times have changed since then. Priests are still capable of healing very well, but paladins, druids and shamans have arose to be able to heal as much if not more than a priest now.

There are different types of heals though, Paladins Shamans and Priest have mainly full heal spells that take 1 to 3 seconds to cast then do a large amount of healing, Resto druids are the one class that is basically tottally different from the other three, they have heal over time spells,(HOTs). Most of the time they will cast a instant HOT spell and it will tick for a certain amount of heath, they have other moves that can make the HOT stop and heal you for a large amount, but it is the most complicated healing class there is.

Tanking classes arnt too much to them, Warrior, paladin, druid. Now out of these the best, in most situations tanker, is the warrior, they have been around since pre-bc and are still going stong, although druids and paladins can take certain boss's better than a warrior, a warrior can tank most anything. Paladins are better for AOE tanking for example trash mobs. Druids are also very good tanks now.

Okay so that's about it for the best classes, I know it was vague but general I broke the classes down to what they can do. I'll do a more indepth break down of each class in the near future and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and I will answer back to the best of my knowledge. - Boot Danger

Wrath Of the Lich King Release Date!

So this might not be the final release, but it will be around november of this year, (2008). On gamespot's website it has it listed for shipping date of November, so lets keep our fingers crossed.

World of Warcraft Botting

Okay, many people oppose botting, but latly I have been seeing more and more botters everywhere, so it's becoming more popular. First off you should know botting is against the TOS of blizzard and if someone reports you or Warden(the WOW cheat detector). Okay now onto how to get into botting. First off, it takes experience to get the hang of, you might want to try it on a trail account first so if you mess up you don't get banned. To get the wow bot go to www.mmoglider.com. Mmoglider is the best WOW bot out there. It can even do mining/herbilism/skinning for you.

PROFILES
Okay, so the hardest part about botting is making a good profile. A profile is the line on which the character will run and anything within range he will kill/mine/ect. Think of it as if you printed out the winterspring map and drew a circle on it. The bot would run around on that circle.

LOCATION
A big key is also location, if you decide to make a profile in a well known botting area with many human players running around, your abnormal behavior will surely get you reported in no time. Try to find a spot where not even botters think of going.

TIME
How long should you stay in the one spot? Well, I'd say a day, maybe a few more if you only run it for a couple hours a day. Also if you stay online for more than 24 hours it probably red flags your account because most people addicted to wow or not can't go a day or more without sleep (i know there have been incidents where people do). So I would say maybe run the bot at most 12 hours a day. You could do more but since my number one worry is saftey, I would rather go a little slower than risked having a higher chance of being banned.

CUSTOM CLASSES
Once you have Glider and can access the members forums, you can download custom classes (You actually need the Elite service for this, but it's worth it). Custom classes are bassically a must. They have predefined keys set, and make you look WAY WAY WAY more human. Read up on the forums for the best one and different saftey settings. Remeber that all classes need a little tweeking.

So that's about it for the basics, the rest you can learn from the website, http://www.mmoglider.com/.

Information About the Death Knight

This post is a summary of recently given information about the Death Knight:

There are a lot of things still being worked out with the Death Knight class such as specific spell abilities. Unlike a traditional caster type however, a Death Knight's spell power comes from runes that are etched into their blade. Think Warcraft III when you think about the possibilities of abilities for the Death Knight. I say possibilities because things are still in process for the development of the class and there will be (of course) a lot of testing for balance done. Given that this is our first Hero class we're unveiling, you can be sure we're going for the coolest of the cool for this class.

Runes and Mana pool

"Q u o t e:Is the Death Knight going to have a mana pool? The pictures from BlizzCon show spells using mana."

The runes they inscribe on their weapons are their mana pool (of a sort). As they use their abilities, the runes will be exhausted. After a period of time the runes will refresh. So, they don't have a traditional type of mana pool. You'll most likely see some screenshots of it, but the Death Knight (at current) has three different types of runes that they can inscribe on their weapon: Blood, Frost, and Unholy. Runes can only be inscribed out of combat ( all of this is subject to change as development continues.)

The rune types don't dictate a new damage type, they're simply a resource that spells and abilities will use when you activate them. The spells and abilities won't necessarily be "blood, unholy, or frost" damage.

Imagine it being three different energy pools which you can change the size of before you get into combat.

About weapons

There's no final decision or announcement on how multiple weapons would be etched, or how weapon switching may affect the etched runes. What has been discussed to some degree is that the main-hand weapon would be etched and that's it, but it's too early to say what would be allowed in the final game.

Which level?

Also, we haven't decided on what level you will start as your Death Knight, current thinking is that once your character reaches level 55-70 you will be able to create a Death Knight character that will start at a similar level. With this character you will complete a quest line before being able to continue to level 80.

How many?

We are not planning to limit players only to one Death Knight per realm. You are only limited by the amount of character slots you have (left).

Which race?

It's true that the current plan has been heavily discussed to go ahead with all races, but no final decision has been made. After talking to Chris he wasn't totally sold on the idea. Both are technically correct in that the current plan of some of the developers is to go ahead with all races, there's been no final decision made and no real work has progressed to force a decision just yet. The FAQ is more accurate at this time, in my opinion.

Lore-wise there's really no reason why a specific race couldn't become a Death Knight.

All races can be challenged mentally and physically, their will dulled, and be cast down into madness ... and darkness. Their souls drawn into the runeblade they wield.

Which classes?

You will not be transforming or converting one class into a Death Knight, you will instead be able to unlock the class for play. The current thinking behind this design decision is that it is important for players to feel like that they don't have to give up a long term character for the chance to play the new heroic class.

Many people had the perception that what you would be doing was to choose a class to specialize into the hero class that would then be an extension of your current class, but that's not how we're doing it. We felt that if we did that for all of the classes, we would be adding too many classes into the game at once and as a result making continuing efforts toward class balance very difficult.

Compared to other classes

They are not planned to be more powerful, them being a hero class simply means they're introduced at a higher level, and in general will reference the more powerful hero types of Warcraft history. It's our intention to integrate them into the current classes, balance them appropriately, and have them provide an additional - but equal - role in groups and raids as compared to other classes.

Will there be other hero classes? Yeah, well that kind figures in to the new definition of what a hero class is. It allows us to add new classes that start at higher levels, keeping players relatively kept up as we continue to release expansions and raise the level cap, and ultimately it really fits to use the heroes from past Warcraft games as inspiration. Some other hero classes could definitely be things like Demon Hunter, Blademaster, etc.

Good WOW Grinding Spot

Okay, so if you are looking for that big wow find without grinding all over the place, then here is you chance. In Zangramarsh, off the Bogflare Needlers, ( the yellow glowing flys above the CoilFang Reserve lake) you can get the drop of " Captured Firefly ". Now, this single pet can sell for anywhere from 300 to over 1000 gold depending on how your server is populated. Also this will take luck, sometimes I've found one in 30 kills, sometimes it takes hours and hours. I have found two though, and it made me a good bit of money, so if you are in the area and have nothing else to do, well give it a shot.

Death knight Starting Zone

El'anon gives an awesome look at the Death Knight starting area. It’s connected to Tyr’s Hand and the Noxious Glad. We know from recent spells added in alpha patches that it will be named Ebon Hold. Enjoy!

Best powerleveling and gold sites

If you have ever thought about powerleveling that next character or first character to level 70, then here are a few trustworthy sites. *ALWAYS REMEBER NO POWERLEVELING IS 100% SAFE*

If you go to www.markeedragon.com and browse the world of warcraft forums for services and powerleveling you will find a lot of VERY fast and trustworthy people. Always be careful and check the peoples repuation first before buying from them. I have had good service with xmanlevel, forsakenfarmers and a few others from there.

Now for decent sites.

www.forsakenfarmers.com VERY GOOD, BUT EXPENSIVE
www.brogame.com Somewhat cheap but more risky than above.
www.powerlevelingcom.com Extremely fast, im talking 60-70 3 days, but risky because of the speed, and all by hand.

Those are the best I know of from experience, but always do more research than is needed, unless it is a blank account then it doesn't matter as much as if you have other characters that mean something to you.
