Best New Hunter Pet in 3.1 for Ulduar

Wondering what pet is the best dps now adays? Well that would be a wolf.

You can get a wolf from many areas, but one that is already lvl79 and 80 you can get from the storm peaks near sons of hordir dailys. Easy to get.

The reason why they are so good now is because every 45 seconds or so (cant remeber exact time) they buff your attack power.

3.1 Ulduar being nerfed

Ulduar, although only a few weeks old, is getting the nerf bat already.

Although this is good for people who arn't in raiding guilds, it is a little disapointing imo. I think it was a little early to nerf it. I personally was having a good time attempting the encounters.

We're currently in the process of making further difficulty adjustments via hotfix to the following encounters:


Ignis the Furnace Master
Razorscale
XT-002 Deconstructor
The Assembly of Iron
Kologarn
Auriaya

The difficulty of these encounters is being lowered in multiple ways. Some of the adjustments are live already, others will be live soon. Note that some of the spell tooltips for the encounter will not reflect the hotfixes being deployed until the next patch. As the hotfixes are deployed, the Service Status board will be updated. Further adjustments are highly likely to some of the other encounters in Ulduar, but these were the highest priority encounters for us. We want to allow additional players to experience more of the cool Ulduar content.

Arena Season 6 Wotlk Gear Rating Requirements

Now that Arena Season 6 is on the horizon, we wanted to share some details regarding upcoming changes to the arena rating system in Arena Season 6. With Arena Season 6, arena teams will start at 0 rating instead of 1500, which will allow teams to have more continuous progression throughout the arena season. In addition, we reevaluated item purchases and felt many of them were too difficult to obtain so we will be altering the rating requirements needed to purchase the latest arena items. For example, items with a rating requirement will now be obtainable starting at 1250 rating.

As with the current system, the matchmaking system will attempt to match teams against opponents who are closest to their average matchmaking rating. Starting with Arena Season 6, a team’s average matchmaking rating will be shown in the scoreboard at the end of each match so that you can see where your team stands compared to the opposing team you just faced. All arena teams that are below a 1500 arena rating will always earn arena points as a 1500 rated team. This will allow teams to continue to build up arena points while working on gaining the ratings needed to purchase items.

Please note that a more specific start date for Arena Season 6 will be provided as soon as it is determined.

To answer some players’ questions:

Only the current arena season’s weapons (furious) will be available. Deadly weapons will be removed when Arena Season 6 starts.
The first tier furious weapons will be equivalent to heroic Ulduar weapons and the second tier furious weapons will match heroic hard mode Ulduar weapons.

Another thing to keep in mind is that until you start to get close to your team's matchmaking rating, you will be gaining around 20 or more points in a win and zero or nearly zero in a loss. So players will make steady progress through games played until they near their team's matchmaking rating.

Ensidia is now the worlds first to kill yogg on 25 man. Next up is hard modes and Algalon. After testing 25man with my guild, I give a big grats to the guilds who are as far as they are. They are the worlds best for a reason.

So it has been said that Algalon will only be availble to "try" to kill 1 hour per WEEK. I think this is kind of cool, gives more challenge and it will be fun to see who will take it home first.
